Have always wanted to start a blog to feed my interest in writing but I'm always too lazy to maintain blogging so I delayed starting this till tonight. What made me choose today of all days? Well, I've been reading my friend's blog & thought I should start my own too, Jannah if you're reading this, you're the inspiration behind this, thank you & I'll see you soon. 

Here is to my first post on this platform & honestly the first topic that comes to mind to start writing about is the man in my life, Syafiq. 

So, where do I even begin? Should I start with a story of how we met or just talk about the many things I love about him? Should I tell a story on what made me fell in love with him or the unexpected things that happened? After literally 30 minutes of thinking (yes, fickle minded af), I decided I should start from the very beginning & move on from there - who knows there'd be continuations to this in the future (that is if I don't get too lazy halfway through, lets all hope)

HOW WE MET

I'll start with how we met. We met on a school trip to Pahang, it was a 5D4N trip & I was in my first year, second semester in poly while he was on his final year. So, like every school trip, there will be a briefing conducted before the trip itself and its compulsory to attend to know the details - itinerary, packing list etc. So I attended with a friend from the same class while he attended with his friends & y'all would be guessing that is when we met but nope! I didn't notice him because he was quiet although he was seated behind me. After the briefing ended, the lecturer in charge made a group chat - yes, like every other school trip. Y'all might think we started talking from there, well yes & no (more on that as you read!) But as the day nears, the group chat became active with people asking what everyone else brought along in their bag & while all that is happening, I'm that girl with nothing packed & was known as the "pack bag last minute girl" because I only packed a day before the trip & that is the usual naz. Well, moving on with the story...

The day of the trip has arrived. We all gathered in school to board the coach to Pahang, the coach was not too full so everyone could comfortably enjoy having 2 seats each to themselves & I sat 1 seat behind Syafiq on the opposite side of the bus. Fast forward the entire journey to Pahang, when we  arrived we were greeted by the owners of the homestay we'll be calling home for the next 5 days & we settled in soon after. For the next 5 days, our paths (mine & syafiq's) keeps crossing, for example, when its meal time, we'll always end up sitting close to each other either on the same side or exactly on the opposite side. There are also instances where we'll be in the same photos without realising and such. Other things includes me ALWAYS realising it when he drops his food till one day he asked me, SHAMELESSLY "are you checking me out?" & I was there like "uhm no, jangan perasan but I'm just really observant & you just always seem to drop your food", haha!  

Oh, did I mention that he's the one that finds me pretty when he first saw me outside the briefing  room before the pre-trip briefing started? - & I only knew this when we are together because he kept this a secret for quite some time. But anyways, back to the trip, he ignored me most of the time because 1. I was with Danish (my ex) 2. Someone who went for the trip together with us had eyes on me. 3. I was getting too much attention from guys there (like whutt 😹)  But yes I actually got ignored because of the reasons stated above, I can't even. So moving on with the story, since the boys & girls are staying in seperate houses, me & the girls staying in the same room  usually goes to the boys' house to lepak with them, mainly cause the girls in our house are usually asleep or already in their rooms by 11pm & we all know that that's too early, especially on a school trip. We are also usually at the boys' house cause there were cockroaches in our room & everyone, including me are terrified of roaches cause that shit is crazy disgusting. 

So nightly chill sessions with the boys indirectly made me & syafiq spend more time together. We stayed up late together with the rest playing cards & he somehow always win. On one of the days, the activity was fishing & somehow we always end up fishing at the same pond. We didn't even look for where the other was but like I said, our paths seems to always cross. I keep getting fishes while he always lose the fishes to me so eventually he gave up & helped me throw bread & take out the fishes from the hook cause I was scared + a bit disgusted (the actual feeling is just EEEK! But I have no idea how to explain that. Y'all get the gist) Then another day was a trip to the zoo (i think) because I remember holding an iguana, feeding deers & more animals 😹 & what happened was when it was photo taking session, he peng side from being 3 person apart from me to going to the opposite side - rude much, can't believe that happened but yknw whatever. 

More things happened but maybe I'll save that for another blog post. So fast forward till the end of the trip, I saw that he was using an Iphone 5s & wanted to test the camera so I asked if I can borrow his phone to take photos & surprisingly he said ok. It was super unexpected but I took like 162826 selfies & of course took some with him too cause dah pakai phone orang, tak kan tak take pictures with him kan haha! Dah la tak tahu malu mintak pakai his phone when we barely know each other haha! So when we reached SG, I told him to send the pictures to me whenever he's free & he already have my number from the group chat so he didn't actually have to ask for it - so lucky. But from then on, its when we started to really talk. He sent the photos & then we apparently continued the conversation & hasn't stopped since then.  So that's how we met, 32 months ago ✨
